Travel Tech Thursday: AT&T Broadband Card

by Chico Woo on June 26, 2009

Sorry for the blog absence. Been so busy and had no time to post. This week I will have you go to my friend Joe Pasqualetti’s site cause he did a review of the AT&T Broadband Card.

Here is an excerpt:

Taking a page from Chico Woo’s book blog, I’ll be talking about travel technology today.

Ever want to walk outside with your computer, hop in a car and still be online? Ever want to pull up maps or download music on the go? Yet when you walk out of Wifi range all goes kaputt.

Where I live no cable company will provide broadband. It’s dial-up (God no, not again), Hughes’ Net Satellite (which goes out in bad weather), or a cell phone modem for internet. My family already has AT&T cell phones so we added AT&T for wireless internet.

What we got was a USB modem that connects to AT&T’s network just like a cellphone. Then it pulls down an internet connection, ta-da.

You can go and read the rest of the post at this link.
